Sign ups for Israel are due in soon. We are still planning to go.
Here is a letter from the travel agent re safety concerns:
<<Dear Pastor:
Thanks for contacting us! We completely understand individuals concerns
regarding the situation in the region. Pilgrim has been completely informed,
via phone, e-mail or personnel visits to or from Israel during this past
month or so of the conflict.
We are completely confident in the safety Israel maintains. In fact, as I
type this e-mail we have a group in country touring as planned with no
changes to their program with about 30 travelers. Shortly following, in a
week or so, we have another bus load traveling with no concerns.
So, as you can see we are running as normal here at Pilgrim, with maybe a
slight change or two, to the sights visited just because of the close
proximity to the events in the north.
We have always maintained an approach of caution and concern for our trips
for the past 5 years, and make sure that we are in complete communication
and remain updated regarding our tours that travel.
If it sets your mind at ease, we even had a group in Israel during the
conflict which traveled without concern. They returned with excitement of
their trip never having any interruptions to there tour, in spite of the
conflict which in sued.
Now with the actual turmoil over, we are running programs as planned and
will continue to do so for those who understand the nature of Israel and are
willing to travel.
Kind Regards

'God rides forth conquering in the chariot of His Gospel. . . He conquers
the pride of the heart, and makes the will which stood out as a Fort Royal
against Him, to yield and stoop to His grace; He makes the stony heart
bleed. Oh! it is a mighty call! Why then do some men seem to speak of a
moral persuasion? That God in the conversion of a sinner only morally
persuades and no more? If God in conversion should only morally persuade and
no more, then He does not put forth so much power in saving men as the Devil
does in destroying them.' Thomas Watson
